This is an "extended-stay" hotel, so each room has a small kitchenette (fridge for your beer, stove/oven so you can demonstrate your cooking prowess, metal flatware for inserting into eyes, and I think you get a complimentary thingie of microwave popcorn, etc.) as well as a small seating area in addition to the usual bedroom / bathroom. The rate is for either a king bed or a double/double.

Rooms are $79 per night, plus tax. Includes hot breakfast, internet, pool, etc.

They're going to hook us up with a website for easy registration /etc. I'll forward that when I get it from the hotel - otherwise, the best rate you're going to get is about $10 more than that.

Now, I need to know approximately how many rooms we're looking at reserving *and paying for.* I'm aware that several of you have a gazillion Hilton Honors points and you're going to want to use them, and that several of you will "crash" with friends in the area. We have a minimum number of rooms we have to reserve and pay for to utilize a meeting room for group organization, child containment, munchies, etc. If we don't have enough rooms paid for - then we don't get to utilize that area unless we want to hand over about $300, and I don't think we want to drop that kind of capital.

So, it's time to figure out what you're doing the weekend of June 5-7. Richmond - or somewhere else?

I'd like to thank Dawn, Michelle Rash and Laiza Casas Reidenbach for almost volunteering to do a directory. I might have to reel them in a tad bit more.

Still nobody to coordinate food. I received very little feedback about the service project.

Are my emails getting through? I think we're about to see how much interest we *really* have in this. :)

If you're pretty much coming, now that a date and location is set - shoot me an email so I can ballpark how many rooms we're going to get. Also, now that everybody's email is out there - if you want to coordinate with somebody else on the roomshare thing, now is the time to figure it out.
